JOHNSON’s My Kid’s Growing Up So Fast CONTEST!

Take the love of the parents and sprinkle with heavenly spice, mold into a creation, only after the angels have stirred twice.

Such tiny hands with soft and smooth skin. Can you believe my boy’s already a month old? WOW! Time sure does fly and how much he’s grown is just amazing! I feel like he wants to double his original weight. Right now he is already 12.5 lbs! Ayayay!

Mikko is really growing up fast! But no, he’s not allowed to eat cake yet! Tee hee! But you know something? I feel like my life’s playing on fast forward now and probably the next thing I’ll know is he’d be potty training if not running around and driving me crazy. LOL!

Nonetheless, I love documenting everything I can as my little man grows bigger up and to watch him with all the different faces that he makes is just adorable. It melts my heart every time. Kinda reminds me of Tuzki (兔斯基) and those cutesy messenger emoticons.

And there’s plenty more from where that came from!

It really is a fascinating thing to see how many expressions Mikko can make in just a matter of seconds! Of course, it doesn’t take a genius to guess what he wants to say. Since he can’t talk yet, his facial expressions - the MIKKOTICONS say it all!

At a month old, Mikko can’t really see yet. But according to his pedia, he has very advanced motor skills. Remember THIS POST about rolling over onto his tummy by Day 15? CLICK HERE.

And now that he’s a month old, he seems to be attracted to light! Check out this comic I made (and note his facial expressions— the Mikkoticons!):

In the future, I have a feeling this boy’s going to be a “techie" too! Just like his mom. (Ahem!) Well, what do you think? I do intend to teach him everything I know about technology and raise him to be aware of it and how it can make life more productive and much easier, as well as remind him to be responsible enough to use it and not to abuse it.

But for now my baby darling is still a helpless little boy. He needs to be fed and bathed regularly.

He is changing before my eyes but his skin is still like a baby’s. We still need the gentle care of JOHNSON’s Baby Milk Bath, with Vitamins A&E and 100% more milk proteins to nourish developing skin.

BUT WAIT! There’s more!!! Now you have a chance to win a cool gift pack from Johnson’s just by giving me a creative caption on top of your head for the baby photo set below:

The wonder of a miracle
From which this love began
There is so much found
In the touch of a child’s hand.

"After wiping off poop for almost a month now, I may never look at mustard the same way ever again." -MyMaria

He's got a name... and the name's MIKKO VINCENZO.

And so officially, my baby boy finally got his birth certificate registered (after a couple of issues regarding misspellings which had to be corrected ASAP) and last weekend, we got him baptized.

No big celebration here, just the godparents and some close family friends and relatives to join us.

Check out photos below:

Boy, time does fly so fast not just when you’re having fun… but when you’re growing up! Can’t believe it’s just this year when I got married, got pregnant, and now got an extremely adorable lil fellow that I can call my own! ;)

How did the first 3/4 of 2011 treat you so far?

People who say they sleep like a baby usually don’t have any. And having one comes with a whole lot of surprises!!! I only know a thing or two about babies and I really need that Complete Idiot’s Guide to Babies if there is one.

Mikko Vincenzo just turned onto his tummy for the first time by himself at 15 days!!! WHOA! Is this kid a descendant of Lam-Ang or what? So anyways, tummy time for babies and infants is quite an issue. People here reassure me that it’s how I slept when I was a baby and I shouldn’t be worried.

Well, it freaks me out how a small baby can move so much by himself and I wonder if he’s really strong enough to do it. That and I worry about him suffocating (or SIDS for that matter) because he might not be able to lift his head. Which means… I have to watch him DOUBLE TIME! Tugshhh

And so, Yaya Mila (my nanny, yes I have still have one!) who happens to be my nursemaid since I was 1 year old, told me about the tradition of the “LIGWAT". The lig-what??? So accordingly, the first time a baby turns onto his belly as what Mikko just did that he be turned up with a book or similar object to make him a smart or intelligent boy. At this day and age, we thought the iPad would do the trick. Tee hee!

Mikko’s first tummy time at 15 days:

And Mikko practicing how to plank 2 days later! :P

Youngest planker… ever! LOL!

All that before he decides to be the Vitruvian Boy. :P

Adorable, ain’t he?
